I look back to my younger years, as I think about all the books that have engrossed my interest in reading and inspired me to write. During my elementary school days, I mostly read novels about young people solving mysteries, as well as Pipi Longstocking and Baby Island. During my high school years, one teacher told me that I needed to read more because I tend to use too much slang words. It doesn’t matter what I read, as long as it was books I really liked and enjoyed. After my senior year of high school, I was on a quest to find entertaining books that can keep my attention and not bore me to death.

Flower in the Attic and its sequential three novels. Although it was dark and disturbing, it was also fun to read in order to see what happens to the four kids imprisoned in the attic. (I discovered these novels during high school).

Heaven Can Wait was fun to read because it is a light romance book with a twist. When I later watched the movie, I noticed the movie was made very close to the book because I enjoyed both the book and the movie. (I found this novel while going with my parents to garage sales on weekends).

The Promise by Danielle Steele. I have only read two Steele novels, and I didn’t like the other one. But this is was fun to read. The movie based on this novel is very close to the book that I enjoyed both the movie and the book. It a romance novel about a rich guy and a poor girl who fall in love, but the guy’s mother doesn’t approve of her…
