My copy of the Ira Levin novel, Rosemary’s Baby

I just finished reading the novel, Rosemary’s Baby. It was a page turner, even though I have seen the movie many times. The novel is very light and easy to read as well as entertaining and fun to read.

I noticed the dialogue in the novel was exactly like the dialogue in the movie. Polanski used the same dialogue for his movie. But there were still many scenes and details that weren’t in the movie, which is why I wanted to read the novel. I was interested to see what wasn’t in the movie. Some of the scenes in the novel were a little different from the same scene in the movie. The ending is a little different. It is longer in the novel, which includes the description of the devil baby. He has a sweet and cute face, but yellow tiger nocturnal eyes — with a vertical dark slit instead of pupil, full orange-red hair, two horn buds growing out of his head, little white claws on his hands, and a tail. (I wonder if the tail is forked).
