Let’s Talk Current Economics
I just went to my regular local gas station to put $20 regular gasoline into my 2012 New Beetle. I noticed gas is now $4.759/gallon, and this particular gas station is the cheapest in my area — Irvine, CA. I live in a college town, and I have been using this particular gas station since my college years during the eighties. For $20 gas, I just filled 4.203 gallons. I remember I used to put more gasoline for $20.
Meanwhile, stores are having holiday sales to encourage shopping, which will go on up to the new year’s sales.
I have heard that grocery prices have also increased.
With food and gas prices increasing, as well as entertainment prices decreasing, it may be better to eat less and drive less, but have fun more. Spending on unnecessary items is more prevalent than spending on important items. By the way, junk food and fast food prices are very cheap, and even cheaper with coupons, which I don’t use anyway because I don’t eat that rubbish.
When will inflation come down to regular prices? According to Youtubers’ prediction videos, situations might improve during spring 2022. But there will be Pluto Retrograde after August 2022. So, who knows?
