I am grateful for my home location.

I live in the center hub of Southern California’s OC. I am surrounded by three different malls, nine miles from the coast, a couple of miles to various hiking areas, and across the street to my university alma mater. I have watched my university grow from a small and simple university during the eighties to a huge and modern university in the 2000s.

I don’t need to go very far to get something. Most things I need are within a ten-mile radius. Moreover, the weather is nice here on a yearly basis, because Southern California has subtle seasonal changes. As I type this post, I notice the trees are starting to turn color, and a few sparse colorful leaves randomly decorate the sidewalks in my neighborhood. The weather is still sunny, and sometimes still warm during the noon hours, but evening temperatures usually cool down to fifty-degree Fahrenheit, sometimes even lower. I just noticed that this Friday’s temperature will be ninety-one-degree Fahrenheit. Summertime in November?

Although my area doesn’t get snow, there is snow in the mountain cities, a couple of hours away, as well as my favorite skiing areas in Lake Tahoe and Reno, Nevada.

I am also twenty miles south of Disneyland and Knotts Berry Farm as well as a couple of miles from SwapMeet Fairgrounds.

I live in a suburban county, which translates to life doesn’t get too exciting here because it is mostly a quiet and peaceful town.
