Cinque Torri, Italy Hiking Trails
Greetings from Cinque Torri, Cortina D’Ampezzo, in Italy. I am virtually hiking these trails as I walk on the treadmill trail at the gym, based on this area. The map of this area on my treadmill displays a hilly and rocky area, but I just notice the beautiful Italian location, which I am aware of already from my Summer of 86 Eurorail train trip throughout the countryside of Italy.
I found a video about this location. It looks like a fun hike. And, in the wintertime, it is used for skiing. I am sure the hilly areas and mountains look just as beautiful in the wintertime, covered with a white blanket, under heavenly skies. This video even displays a wax museum about WWI between Italy and Austro-Hungarian armies that took place in these mountains. Dolomites Cinque Torri includes over 5KM of trenches between Lagazuoi and Tre Sassi fort, which has been restored in this outdoor museum. There are guided tours, offered by the Gruppo Guide Alpine. The mountain lodge looks cozy, especially waking up amidst this lovely area. Wow, I didn’t know there was history behind this area while I was just walking on the treadmill this morning.
Back to my gym workout, I walked on this very hilly treadmill trail, which constantly changed its elevation, from -3 to 20, similar to a walking rollercoaster ride. This 2.07-mile treadmill trail lasted for 31 minutes and 13 seconds, and I burned 374 calories. Then, I went on the stationary bicycle, leisurely riding along while watching music videos from the flat-screen television hanging from the wall. I cycled for one hour, cycling 8.04 miles and burning 131 calories. By the end of the cycling, my heart rate was 150. Many celebrities in the videos were singing Xmas songs.
I left the gym at around 11:50 am, noticing it is a beautiful sunny day in December. Since the gym is in the South Coast Metro area, I decided to drive one block to Hobby Lobby and TJ Maxx. I browsed inside Hobby Lobby and noticed lots of nice things. But I was looking for the flat back pearl for my boots, even though I had bought something similar yesterday at Joann’s. When I noticed it was 50% off, I decided to get it and compare it with the other ones I bought yesterday. I think the other ones have an iridescent sheen. The ones at Hobby Lobby look white, with a silvery sheen. And, with the sale, they were only $1.75. I decided to browse inside TJ Maxx because it has fun and cool items. I ended up buying low-carb, vegan spaghetti and angel hair, vegetarian protein bars, and vegan snacks. I cannot believe I am now doing my grocery shopping at TJ Maxx.
I drove back home to eat my lunch…
