Dr. Ruth Westheimer dies at 96. Karola Ruth Siegel was born on June 4, 1928 in Wiesenfeld, German Reich and she died on July 12, 2024 in NYC, New York. She was mostly known for her sex therapist advice on television, which was more like a comedy routine. Her parents were killed in a German concentration camp. She later moved to Israel, became a Zionist Jew, and joined the IDF. She was trained as a scout and sniper, although she was only 4 foot and 7 inches tall. She felt that Zionist Israel was her real home because it was a Zionist state.
Richard Simmons was born Milton Teagle Simmons on July 12, 1948 in New Orleans, Louisiana and he died on July 13, 2024 at 76. He was mostly known for being an American fitness personality during the 80s to help fat people lose weight via aerobics. His father was Methodist, while his mother was Russian Jewish. Richard later converted to Catholicism. He went to University of Louisiana in Lafayette but graduated from Florida State University with a BA in Art. When he as young, he was obese. He had considered becoming a priest once. He changed his name to Richard after his uncle who paid for his college tuition. He was found dead in his home in Hollywood Hills on July 13th.
